WTF is Paleo!?

There have been many other paleo challenges before, so we have plenty to refer.

So, what's Paleo?

Simple answer: Meats, vegetables, nuts, seeds, some fruit.

For 36 days, we'll be eating like cavemen (or cavepeople for the politically correct out there). If it had feet or fins, kill it and eat it. If it hung from a tree, pick it and devour it.

First:
Instead of listing foods that you can't eat, it's easier to think of foods that we will be allergic to for these 36 days. (And it helps when people ask why you're not partaking in their chips and queso).
Starches (pastas, potatoes, oats, grain, and bread)
Sugars (cane or artificial, honey and guava is acceptable in small amounts)
Processed Foods (if it has a nutrition label on it, it's probably processed, to include deli meats)
Dairy (coffee creamer, milk and cheese)
Legumes (peanuts, cashews, beans)
If these are consumed during the 30 day challenge, it's not the end of the world, but it is assumed that you'll grow a unibrow.

Feel free to eat when you're hungry, drink when you're thirsty, and rest when you're tired. Just keep to eating meats, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and some fruit. The fresher, the better! It's all fair game!

Next:
Get some sleep! Do your best to get 8 hours of sleep per night. It's not always possible, but make sure you get as much as you can or catch up a few days per week. Naps? You bet! Take'em when you can. The longer the better!

Finally:
Keep your stress level low. Use this opportunity to get yourself a massage or lay in the tub for an hour or so. Unwinding plays a key part to optimizing our bodies' potential for weight loss and performance gains.
